I started with SLX in 1996 working in our Exeter Branch, for a little over 10 years I worked as Warehouse Tech, Warehouse Manager, Production Manager and Hire Manager.
Having gained additional production experience in the corporate world I returned to SLX in 2012 as a Project Manager working from our London office.
Outside of work I’m a keen surfer, paddle boarder, golf player & enjoy being outside with my family.
Joining the events team in 2005 I manage the operations of this fast moving exciting department.
I coordinate the travel and logistics planning and provide client services with venue liaison and delegate management.
My role also extends to the events business systems and managing the procurement of much of the external resource.
Rebecca returns to the team after a succesful stint in the freelance world working on some of the biggest events over the past 5 years establishing herself as a key member of any lighting team. She brings her skills and extensive knowledge of the events world to SLX and now looks after the logistics and resource planning for the department.
Dan is based in our Bristol office and is one of our technical project managers.
I joined SLX (then Theatre Direct) in Jan 1998 as Regional Hire Manager in the Cambridge operation. I was then a founding part of the London team a few years later first as its Hire Manager then onto Live Events as a Project Manager.
My strengths lie in the more theatrical, experiential & found space technical projects, ranging from the immersive labyrinth of performance spaces that were the Old Vic Tunnels and the complexities of aerial performance Fuerzabruta at the Roundhouse, to pop up swimming tanks in Covent Garden and Bouncy castles for Candy Crush on the South Bank.
Joining SLX at the turn of the century makes me one of the longest serving members of the team having started in the warehouse operation. I project manage many of our larger scale outdoor events and as a qualified electrician I also provide electrical design and sign off for many others.
After achieving my degree in Broadcast engineering at Ravensbourne College I now work as a Live Event Technician within the Events team at SLX.
Whilst at Ravensbourne college I managed the majority of their live events where I first struck up a relationship with the then SLX hire team which resulted in me starting as a warehouse casual in the London branch.
I have been working in and around broadcast since 2004 starting at my local television station as a technical camera operator and working my way up to a technical assistant which has given me a broad knowledge of Video, Lighting and Audio. I am proud to say that I am an all-round geek and enjoy automating my home, Rock Climbing and Cinematography in my spare time.
