We are thrilled to be launching our Impact Service; a service designed to help our clients ground their live events and theatre productions in sustainable strategy and assessment to make informed decisions for a better future.

The concept of an impact service offering started early in SLX’s sustainability journey. Once we delved into our own sustainability strategy and assessment, we recognised that our impact is intrinsically linked with the actions of our suppliers, clients, community and people.

We started offering our clients a carbon emissions calculation service for their productions and we saw how this magnified opportunities to reduce the impact of their events and productions in the future. We identified a gap in the desire to make a change from our clients and the lack of data to inform these decisions.

Who is this service for?

This service is for any of our clients who wish to understand the true impact of their live events and theatre productions. From theatre shows to winter light trails to live events, we will help you to improve the positive impact of these experiences.

We recognise that a one-size-fits-all approach to live event and production impact measurement is not always applicable in our industry due to the complexity and variety of productions, which is why we take a bespoke approach to impact assessment.

We offer a tiered approach to live events and theatre production impact measurement, acknowledging that various elements of events fall under the responsibility of different actors.

But why now?

Over the past 3 years, we have made numerous changes to improve the social and environmental impact of our business operations. We have been recognised by our industry for the development of our sustainability strategy and we have the in-house expertise to support our clients with their sustainability journeys.

It is important to us that every project we work on is striving to do better and we want to be able to ground your event or production in sustainable practices.

The live events and cultural sector is rapidly expanding its focus on sustainability and social impact. Consumers and industry stakeholders are increasingly demanding environmentally sustainable and socially responsible practices.

“We are really excited to be offering this assessment, reporting and strategy support service to our network as we all strive to increase the positive sustainability and social impact of our industry.”
